The Business Plan for the New Hall and reserve provoked lively Discussion

Amazing to see so many Sarsfield community turn up last night to hear about our new Hall & Reserve business plan!

Thanks to East Gippsland Community Foundation for sponsoring the informal dinner (and darts) after the meeting.

Things are starting to take shape with the ‘big’ project and we need YOU to help us.

How will the whole process work?

1. The EGSC have signed the contract to do the work with the Australian Government.

2. They have due processes which must be followed to ensure it is done properly.

3. The Community has a vey active role in designing and creating the Brief for the architect with the help of the project leader Mark Tickner from EGSC.

4. The SCA Project Working Group has had preliminary weekly meetings and invites SCA members who are interested to join us. This is a very exciting process and we are well aware our wish list has to be balanced against $ needed and the priorities for the Community for the Hall and the Playground. Contact Simon 0472 838 149.

The business plan presented by John Hamilton on Sunday night will help inform the options we have to make the Hall and Reserve a wonderful vibrant place for Sarsfield into the future.

The Working Group will shape the Brief but the official Shire overarching group is the Project Reference Group.

5. The EGSC has set up the Project Reference Group: it will have 3 SCA Working Group members but other members of the local and wider East Gippsland Community are invited to join it by contacting the Project Supervisor at feedback@egipps.vic.gov.au or call 5153 9500.
