5 year’s on Celebration & Twilight Market - 11 Jan 25

What a great day! Even the threatening thunderstorms wandered off and after a hot afternoon we had a balmy evening. We had lots of action thanks to the Volunteers who helped lead by our community support worker Marney Kramme

There was a variety of unique stalls from local Sarsfield makers and artisans, as well as stallholders from further afield showcasing their wares.

Inside the Sarsfield Hall there is a display of the timeline since the Fires with photos of various events and crucial moments in the momentous journey in creating a vibrant community which has a good infrastructure for the future.

This event was supported by funds from by East Gippsland Shire Council and Gippsland Community Foundation with funds from the Victorian Government through Emergency Recovery Victoria and Commonwealth Government, under the Commonwealth-State Category C Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, in response to the 2019-20 Eastern Victorian Bushfires. This allowed us to have the Childrens entertainment and music available for all the community to enjoy without expense. we also appreciate the support received from the SES and Red Cross .

Durelle Esnouf, Terry Maki and Wayne Gamble were caught busy at the Sausage Sizzle. The Sarsfield Community Association cooked up a yummy sausage sizzle to provide an affordable option and also raise some funds for future community events.

Phil Schneider, Wendii Carter and John Kinniburgh tasting the wares. Some of the new community members enjoyed the day too. we had a number of Food Trucks who bought a variety of delicious offerings to enjoy .

Live Music we Enjoyed performances by the talented Christine Watterson and Emily Nock who are seen below.

Children’s Entertainment: Fun activities to keep the little ones entertained, including free face painting, Wacky Wombat on stilts and a big bouncy castle, along with our community games.
